PRIDE Across the Country

An Update on the Journey of Gay into Straight America

Saturday, June 3, 6-9 pm (Bellingham Pride Weekend)

Co-op Connection Building

1200 Forest St. (Please do not park in the Co-op parking lot.)

Hear about this journey of a lifetime.

Dotti Berry and Roby Sapp and their poodle, Rylee Joy—members of our Bellingham community—have been traveling for the past six months talking and listening to GLBT and faith communities across America. Their intention is to engage hearts and minds, create authentic connections, and dissolve differences that separate us. They’ve looked for and found people who are wrestling with their understanding of GLBT people. But, mostly, they’ve found a lot of love and support.

Come hear about their adventures—who they’ve met (nuns, blue color workers, high school students who are making a difference, conservative parents who agreed to a dialogue), what amazing connections they’ve made (curious bystanders in the Wal-Mart parking lot, dog-owners on a beach in Florida), and the impact they’ve had on hundreds of people along the way.

Celebrate two women we can be very PROUD of in this season of PRIDE.

Bring: Hors d’oeurves to share and your own drinks. Coffee and tea will be available.
